What are the advantages of implementing a high-level cleaning procedure in food and beverage plants?
The advantages can be grouped under two main headlines: Safety and Commercial.
Safety – SpaceVac systems remove dust accumulations that raise the risk of fire or explosion. A high proportion of organic food dust is classified as explosive, and it is the danger from secondary explosions resulting from high-level dust deposits that destroy buildings and claim lives.
Commercial – High-level dust deposits were originally airborne and, therefore, breathed in by workers. Poor air quality is associated with an increase in absenteeism and lower productivity. Dust ingress is also the number one source of equipment failure or malfunction. Dust is also a food source for numerous pests, both the dust and the pests are food production contaminants, causing extremely costly product recalls or facility shutdowns.
